Three Nines Children’s Charity is calling on experienced professionals from across the ‘blue light’ community and beyond to join its Board of Trustees, as the organisation continues to expand its support for children and families affected by trauma.
Since being founded in 2025, the charity has been providing early intervention, reassurance, and practical support to children impacted by incidents attended by the emergency services. Its mission is clear: to transform moments of crisis into pathways for healing, hope, and resilience.
As demand for its services continues to grow, Three Nines is now looking to appoint new trustees to strengthen its leadership and further develop its impact across safeguarding, emotional wellbeing, and strategic service development.
The charity is currently recruiting for:
- A Safeguarding Lead Trustee to help ensure the highest standards of protection and governance for children and young people
- A Counselling Lead Trustee to guide the development of emotional support and talking therapy services
- A Blue Light Operational Trustee to bring operational insight, leadership experience, and a frontline understanding of the realities faced by emergency service communities
These roles will play a vital part in shaping how the charity supports children and families during some of the most difficult moments in their lives.
The Board is particularly keen to hear from individuals with senior-level experience within the emergency services, those who have worked closely alongside first responders, or professionals with expertise in safeguarding, counselling, mental health, governance, operational leadership, or strategic development.
Anne Campbell Gunn, Founding CEO of Three Nines Children’s Charity, said:
“We know that behind every incident attended by the emergency services, there are often children and families left dealing with trauma. Our mission is to ensure they are not left behind. These trustee roles are an opportunity to help shape how we protect and support those children, both now and into the future.”
As an ambitious charity with a clear mission and growing reach, trustees play an active role beyond governance – bringing their expertise, insight, and networks to help drive meaningful change.
These are voluntary positions, with reasonable expenses reimbursed. Trustees are expected to attend quarterly Board meetings and an annual strategy session.
