Exciting New Chapter for Three Nines Children’s Charity

Three Nines Children’s Charity is excited to be establishing its first office base in the heart of Hitchin, Hertfordshire as the charity continues to grow and develop its support for children and families affected by trauma and hardship following incidents attended by the emergency services.

The new base will provide a welcoming and collaborative space to support the future development of the charity’s pioneering Emotional First Aid initiative and wider family support work.

Developed in partnership with Learning Resources UK and BMT Consultancy, the Emotional First Aid initiative includes the rollout of Calm & Care Kits – specially developed resources designed to help front-line responders provide immediate, trauma-informed emotional support and reassurance to children and young people following distressing incidents.

Importantly, each kit includes a QR code both on the bag and inside the pack, allowing children and their families to connect directly with Three Nines and access further support beyond the initial emergency response.

This helps create an ongoing pathway to support, ensuring families know where they can turn once the immediate crisis has passed.

As Three Nines continues to grow, plans are also underway for an exciting new Emotional First Aid Project Manager role to help support and develop the initiative in the future.

Anne Campbell Gunn, Founder and CEO of Three Nines Children’s Charity, said:

“This is an incredibly exciting time for Three Nines. Our new offices represent more than just a physical space – they symbolise growth, collaboration and the increasing recognition of the importance of emotional first aid for children affected by traumatic incidents.

Through our partnerships with Learning Resources UK and BMT Consultancy, we are developing practical and compassionate support that we believe can make a lasting difference to children and families when they need it most.

We are looking forward to sharing more exciting developments as the initiative continues to grow.”
