Three Nines at The Emergency Services Show 2026

Three Nines Children’s Charity was proud to exhibit at The Emergency Services Show 2026, held at the NEC Birmingham on 16–17 September.

Across two busy days, our team had the opportunity to meet frontline professionals, emergency service representatives, cadets and organisations from across the UK, sharing more about the support we provide to children and families following traumatic incidents attended by the emergency services.

A key focus of the event was our Calm & Care Packs, which have been developed to help frontline responders provide immediate comfort and reassurance to children at the scene of an emergency.

The packs contain carefully selected resources designed to help children feel safer, calmer and supported during what can be an overwhelming and frightening experience. Importantly, they also provide a pathway to ongoing support from Three Nines, helping families access further support after the immediate emergency has passed.

A fantastic response from frontline professionals

The response to the Calm & Care Packs throughout the show was incredibly encouraging.

On the first day, our team spoke with Richie Watts from North West Ambulance Service, who described the packs as a fantastic idea and planned to take the concept back to his team.

On day two, we were delighted to meet members of the Warwickshire Police Cadets, who were particularly enthusiastic about the resources inside the packs – especially our bears.

We were also joined by Marley our therapy dog, who proved to be a very popular visitor to the stand.

These conversations gave us valuable opportunities to speak directly with people working on the frontline, hear their experiences and discuss how practical, child-focused resources can support children during and after traumatic incidents.

Supporting children after the blue lights fade

The Emergency Services Show provided an important platform for us to raise awareness of the work of Three Nines and strengthen our connection with the emergency services community.

By working alongside frontline professionals, we can help ensure that children and families are supported not only in the immediate moments of crisis, but also in the days, weeks and months that follow.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited Stand D1, spoke with our team and showed such enthusiasm for our work.

Together, we’re helping to ensure no child faces trauma alone after the blue lights fade.
