Three Nines at the Emergency Services Show 2025

Three Nines Children’s Charity was proud to attend the Emergency Services Show 2025 on 17–18 September at the NEC in Birmingham, connecting with professionals from policing, emergency response, and community services who share our mission of supporting children and young people affected by crime.

Ambassador, Paul Price, attended alongside our CEO, Anne Campbell, Service Delivery Manager, Diane Watts, and Marketing Advisor, Vicky Hurst. The team represented Three Nines and highlighted the vital role of trauma-informed support for children and families affected by crime.

Throughout the event, our team connected with frontline professionals, shared experiences from our work supporting children and families, and explored ways emergency services and charities can work together to help young people in need.

The Emergency Services Show was a brilliant opportunity to engage directly with those on the frontline,” said Anne Campbell, CEO of Three Nines. “Every conversation reaffirmed how vital early, compassionate intervention is — and how, by working together, we can reach children who might otherwise go unseen and unsupported.”

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the first responders and blue light service personnel who kindly completed our Early Intervention survey. Your insights will help us understand how we can best support your roles and ensure that children who may otherwise go without help receive the care and support they need.

The event was a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of Three Nines’ services – including emotional support, wellbeing respite breaks, and hardship support – and to showcase how collaborative work can make a lasting impact on children and families recovering from trauma.

One of the stars of our stand this year was Sgt Nines – our cuddly velour bear with a very special mission. Sgt Nines is destined for children who have been impacted by crime, offering comfort and a pathway to our trauma, hardship, and wellbeing support services.

Visitors to our stand were invited to meet Sgt Nines and learn more about his “duties” in supporting early interventions for young people, alongside his colleagues in the Three Nines team.

Our stand security – a cuddly black Labrador also proved quite the hit! He caught the eye of a British Transport Police officer, who negotiated a deal for him to join their team as a child engagement tool, helping to comfort and connect with young people in the community.

The Emergency Services Show provided an excellent platform to raise awareness, strengthen partnerships, and highlight the importance of early, compassionate support for those affected by crime.
