Help make sure a child has something special to open this Christmas

Christmas Wish Box Campaign 2026

Through our Christmas Wish Box Campaign, Three Nines Children’s Charity provides individually tailored Christmas gifts for children referred to us through our trusted referral partners.

Each child can request a gift up to the value of £25, based on something they would genuinely like to receive for Christmas.

Referrals close Monday 7 December 2026.

Referrals are now open

If you are a referral partner supporting a child or family who would benefit from our Christmas Wish Box Campaign, you can now make a referral.

Once we receive the referral, a member of the Three Nines team will speak directly with the referrer or family to find out what the child would most like for Christmas and gather the information needed to arrange their gift.

Referrals close on Monday 7 December 2026.

A gift chosen especially for them

Our Christmas Wish Boxes are not made up of generic presents. Every gift is individually tailored to the child receiving it.

Whether they are wishing for a favourite toy, a creative activity, a game or something linked to a particular interest, we want every child to receive something that feels personal to them.

Every gift is chosen especially for an individual child – helping them feel remembered, valued and thought of at Christmas.

How the Christmas Wish Box Campaign works

1. A child is referred
We receive a referral from one of our trusted referral partners on behalf of a child or family who needs support.

2. We find out their Christmas wish
We speak with the referrer or family to find out what the child would most like to receive for Christmas, up to the value of £25.

3. Their wish is added to our Christmas wishlist
From Monday 2 November, individual Christmas wishes will be added to our website for supporters to fund.

4. A supporter funds their gift
Members of the public can choose an individual child’s Christmas wish and make a donation to cover the cost of that gift.

5. We arrange the present
Three Nines purchases the requested gift and arranges for it to be wrapped and delivered.

6. Christmas magic is delivered
The child receives a present chosen especially for them – creating a moment of joy and something special to look forward to at Christmas.

Who can make a referral?

Our Christmas Wish Box Campaign is available to children and families referred to Three Nines through our trusted referral partners.

If you are working with a child or family who has been affected by a traumatic incident or hardship and believe they would benefit from support this Christmas, please make a referral through our usual referral route.

Referral deadline: Monday 7 December 2026

Want to help make a Christmas wish come true?

Our public Christmas wishlist will launch on Monday 2 November 2026.

From then, supporters will be able to browse individual Christmas wishes and choose a gift to fund.

Each wish will represent a real child supported through Three Nines, while their personal details remain confidential.

For some children, the gift funded through our Christmas Wish Box Campaign could be one of the only presents they receive this Christmas.

Choose a Christmas wish. Fund a gift. Help give a child something special to open on Christmas morning.

Come back from 2 November to choose a Christmas wish and help make it come true.

You can also support the campaign now with a general donation.

Together, we can bring a little hope after hurt this Christmas

Hope after hurt

At Three Nines Children’s Charity, we support children and families following traumatic incidents attended by the emergency services.

A moment of happiness

A carefully chosen gift cannot take away what a child or family has experienced, but it can create a moment of happiness, comfort and hope at a difficult time.

Something special for Christmas

This Christmas, with the help of our referral partners and supporters, we want to make sure children facing incredibly difficult circumstances know they have not been forgotten. Together, we can help bring a little hope after hurt this Christmas and make sure more children have something special waiting for them on Christmas morning.

Every child deserves to feel remembered

For many children, Christmas is a time of excitement and celebration. But for children and families affected by trauma, bereavement, crime or financial hardship, it can also be an incredibly difficult time of year.

For some of the children we support, there may be very little waiting for them on Christmas morning.

For families dealing with trauma, loss or hardship, Christmas can bring additional emotional and financial pressure. Some parents and carers may simply not be in a position to provide the Christmas they would want for their children.

A gift may seem like a small thing, but to a child who has already been through so much, having something chosen especially for them to open on Christmas morning can mean a great deal.
